Freedom Japanese Market Box - December 2015

So, my trek to try different snack boxes available to Canadians continue.  I have to explain why it took me a while to post a new one...there's a couple of reasons:
  1. I ordered a Candy Box for the month on November, and I never received it.  Tried to reach out to them to ask where it was, and never got a reply...Fantastic customer service, right?  So, that said, I don't recommend subscribing to Candy Box.
  2. Freedom Japanese Market Box ships from Japan...so, that takes a while to ship.  I got a message from them saying it may take up to 20 days.  The 21rst would have been the 20th day, and I wasn't expecting to get it until January because of the holidays...but this was a great surprise.
So, what is Freedom Japanese Market Box?  It's a monthly subscription that promises a pound of handpicked, unique Japanese candies and snacks.  There's different subscriptions available :
  1. Puchi Pack promises 5-8 Japanese snacks at 12.99$ per month.
  2. Original Subscription Pack promises 12-16 snacks for 24.99$ per month.
  3. Family Pack promises to double the snacks in the original Pack for the price of 45.99$ per month.
  4. For 3$ more per pack, you can get a gift subscription (one time shipment, no renewing fees): Puchi Pack is 15$, Original Pack is 27$ and Family Pack is 50$.
All these boxes come with free shipping.  Today, I will be reviewing the Original Subscription Pack.

First this I observed when I saw this box on my doorstep was how small this box is...but seriously, I judged its size too soon.  As soon as I opened the box, I was surprised to see how much stuff was in this box.  Not to sound like a walking pun, it looks bigger on the inside (lol..any Doctor Who fans out there? ;) I know, I can be corny sometimes haha)  Prices on the websites aren't very representative of how much you'd pay for the products at your local Asian supermarket, so I won't base myself on them to judge if this box was well curated or not.

Each box comes with a monthly origami (I think that is a neat idea.  If I decide to subscribe to this box in the long run, I'll definitely collect these).  On the insert it mentions that this represents the ringing bell in the Buddhist temples as one of Japanese New Years traditions.  I wasn't sure what this was at first but once I read it, I can definitely see how it resembles a bell.

First thing I pulled out was this Lifeguard soft candy which apparently is a Japanese brand of energy drink.  This can be interesting.  It has the texture of a Starburst chew.  Says value of this is 0,49$ but I'm pretty sure they'd charge more than that if I saw this at the store.

This tastes exactly like an energy drink (that bubble-gum flavor that seems to be in all of these drinks).  Alex really likes this; he's on a mission to find more of these asap!

Then I pulled out this little guy...isn't the Santa Claus adorable?  This is Christmas Umaka which is seafood ramen flavored rice puffs.  And I can't find these online but I did find another review which showed me these are the texture on cheese puffs.

These tasted alright...the flavor wasn't too intense but that's ok since I'm not a huge fan of seafood flavors.

And a Christmas Umaibo (omg! yay! I wasn't able to find anymore of these at the local Asian market and I am super thrilled to have another one).  Though I'm not sure what flavor this is, the insert specifies it is decked out for the holidays.

You knew I couldn't resist this.  It ends up being a chocolate covered corn puff.  Not as crunchy as the corn potage one but still quite tasty.

A Hello Kitty Lollipop, can't go wrong with that.  It is peach flavored, and apparently it also contains green tea extract.  I unfortunately can't have tea, so this will have to go to Alex.

This is a bonus item, a Monster Stamp.  Apparently, you lick these edible stamps and add monster marks where you want.  Sounds cute.

And these taste like Sweet Tarts.  And yes, they do stamp.  Got 4 different stamps, which I shared with Alex...his reaction was funny...seemed a bit puzzled at the stamping.

And this is intriguing.  Ume Pachi is a candy that looks and tastes like pickled plums.  Apparently this is quite an experience and not to be tried if you're faint of heart.  Of course, I can't find these online unless in a review.  Looking forward to giving these a try.

These are pop rock candies and absolutely intriguing.  Alex and I both enjoyed this treat, even if a bit strange as a flavor.  I think I mind try to find other pickled plum candies out there.

This guy is a classic - Pocky.  I've never had these ones though : Winter Pocky's are biscuits covered in cocoa powder.  Sounds amazing.  These sell for about 5$ (or more) at the local market and honestly are quite enjoyed by both, Alex and I.

I expected a powdery chocolate mix on these pockys but instead it was a smooth dark chocolate.  Tasted great.

Ok, so the picture on this one had me giggling.  I love the pig doodles.  Butamen is a soy sauce ramen noodle cup.  I had no clue this was noodles right up until I wrote this post.  I'm so having this for supper!

I like Ramen so there was no way this would not be a hit.  I liked them.  The taste of soy sauce was definitely there but not too salty.

These Pure Gummy are heart-shaped, coated in sour lemon powder with a sweet center.  I love gummies, I love lemon, I love sour candy.  I have three for one.  Nice!  I'll definitely enjoy these.

And this, I have to say, is the item I am the most excited to try.  This is Styling Pop in Porcini & Cream Cheese.  For those unsure what Porcini is, they are mushrooms.  Sounds like a great combo and I know Alex will be intrigued by these as well.

This tastes like mushroom soup and I absolutely love it! I'm so going to buy more if I come across it!

This is a Secret Neru Neru DIY.  I've seen a bunch of bloggers and youtubers post about DIY candy so I'm thrilled to have my own.  Apparently, you mix the two flavors to make a cream soda flavored treat.  Not exactly sure what it's supposed to look like in the end but hey, we'll give this a try.  And I can't really find it online, but these usually aren't cheap.

This was pudding/mousse consistency.  Thought the instruction were not in my language, they were still easy to follow with the instructions.  Does it taste like cream soda? no.  It does taste good though.. the yellow one is more like a banana cream and the pink one like guava?  I'm not sure if I'm right though.  It is good.  Alex wasn't too much into it though.

This is Jaga Shio Butter which is a mini bag of potato chips flavored like baked potato: with butter and salt.  Sounds like a nice little treat.  And by looking online, I only get a bunch of pictures of buttered baked potatoes... so I can't find this one either.

OMG these was amazing!  If I ever get my hands on these again, I am buying more than one pack.  Soooo Tasty!

This is a small Tirol Chocolate - a tiny milk chocolate to satisfy chocolate cravings. This will not last long...;)

This one was chewy but tasty.   I wasn't expecting the chewiness but it was a great touch.

And the last item is a Hello Kitty Chocolate...again a small item but this will not last long.  Yum!  Since Hello Kitty is such a popular franchise, I can't really find this item online.. there's so many different Hello Kitty chocolates.  I'll enjoy this nonetheless.

This tasted fine.  Milk chocolate at its best.

So, all in all, I am quite happy with the curation of this box.  I got 14 items in total and I think I'll enjoy every single one of them.  Did I get my money's worth?  I think so.  I paid 27$ for this and I'd like to think that getting all of these items separately at the store would cost a lot more than that.  Plus, I get to try items I would not normally get drawn to.  That's what I like most about this type of subscription, trying out new things.  Do I recommend it?  Yes, I do.  If intrigued about how we enjoyed these items, I'll be adding my impressions once I've tried them to this blog post.  As always, any questions or comments are welcomed.

FabFitFun Winter 2015 Unboxing

FabFitFun finally arrived on Christmas Eve!  I was wondering if I'd get this before Christmas and lo and behold, the mailman was at my front door this morning.  I think Santa Claus has spread some of his Christmas magic so I could get this on time.  I am thrilled!

For those who are not familiar with FabFitFun, it is a quarterly subscription box (once per season) that is geared towards women who love beauty, fitness and lifestyle items.  I have been subscribed to FabFitFun for more than a year now and I have been pretty satisfied with the curation of the boxes.  They cost 49,99$ per box and easily packs four times the cost with items that vary from skin care, to fitness DVDs, to make-up, etc.  I've inserted my referral link above if you're interested in trying it out.  Prices written down are based on the FABFITFUN booklet and not the websites I am linking.

The first spoiler we got was for these Frends -The Donna Earbud which, according to FFF retails at 80$.  I can't find them online, unless linked to FFF reviews.  Tried them on; they are a bit big for my ears but not uncomfortable so I'll likely use these for my work computer, when I want to listen to something without bothering my colleagues... Would I pay 80$ for these?  no, I don't think I would.  Do I like having them on hand?  Yes.  One can never go wrong with a good pair of earphones.  These also came in two other colors, mind you, I don't remember the available option.  Black suits me.  Get 20% off regularly priced items except Swarovski Gemstones and Exotics until 01/01/2016 with code FFF.

This was the second spoiler: Fingerless Gloves by Whitney eve X FFF and these retail at 26$.  Ever since I got this spoiler I was really looking forward to getting my hand on these.  They look absolutely gorgeous and I tried them on and they are cozy and definitely my style!  There was also a black colored one but I am happy to get the grey ones because these will go with anything. (my logic is, black won't go with navy blues or browns...am I wrong?)  Get 20% off at Whitneyeve.com with code FFF20.

Last spoiler we got was a Diffuser by EJH Brand which retails at 37$.  This is another item I can't find online unless linked at an FFF review.  But I would definitely pay this amount for this diffuser.. smells amazing!  I got it in the scent Pomegranate but other subscribers could also get Cinnamon, Sugar Cookies or Lavender.  I would have been happy with any of these scents really.

Then we have Candletnut Body Creme by Juara retailing at 35$ and boy did Juara do a good job at sealing this tightly...I had a hard time opening it.  This is lightly scented, smells a bit nutty, and promises to be a great cure for dry hands.  People who know me well know that I apply lotion to my hands a bunch of times daily so this will definitely get some use. Get 15% off at juaraskincare.com from 12/01/2015 to 02/01/2016 by using code FAB2015.

Next item is Wine Stopper & Charm Set by FFF retailing at 15$.  These are absolutely adorable and will definitely get some use during the holidays or anytime we share some wine with family and friends.

I've been in need of a good cleanser so the fact this trio comes with one is a huge win.  This is Demalogica Travel Set with: Special Cleansing Gel, Multi-Active Toner and Skin Smoothing Cream retailing at 45$.  The exact set can't be found on their website.  I've tried Dermalogica products before, I believe from FabFitFun and really enjoyed them.  So this is a complete win for me.  Get 20% off plus free shipping at dermalogica.com with code FABFITFUN from 12/01/2015 to 01/31/2016.

Next we have a Zoya polish in the color Sasha retailing at 9.00$ and is described as a dark saturated blood red creme.  It looks a tad bit brighter on this picture than it really is.  I've always wanted to try Zoya polish and I have to say I do like the formula though not a big fan of the smaller brush...I will be putting this on my nails as soon as this review is up.

We also got a 40$ Sweet and Spark Gift Card.  Good thing I knew this was a gift card because it looks like an insert and could easily be discarded.  This is a store for vintage jewelry.  I am not a big fan of gift certificates in boxes just because the shipping is insane for Canadians.  I will not be using this and hopefully will find somebody to swap with for this gift card.

Also got a Shoptiques.com 25$ gift card.  The presentation is very nice but again, I'm not about to fork a huge amount on shipping so this is not advantageous for me.  Luckily, I already have an agreed swap with someone.  I'll be getting two Julep polishes for this gift certificate.

And last but not least, FFF teamed up with ASPCA.  Make a donation to this ASPCA by posting a picture of your pets or favorite animal with the hashtags #FFFAnimallove #FabFitFun #ASPCA and tag @FabFitFun and @ASPCA.  For every picture received, FFF will donate 1$.

That wraps up my unboxing: the total worth of this box is 312$ and I can say, I will be using almost all of these items.  I'm usually quite satisfied with FFF boxes; this one is not an exception.  Keep up the great work, FFF!

Awesome Pack December 2015 Unboxing

Having a relaxing day, not expecting any visitors when the doorbell rings and lo and behold, my friendly Post Office Carrier is on my front door step with my Awesome Pack!  How awesome is it that I get my packs on a Sunday morning.  I was not expecting my pack until tomorrow.

Let me explain what this package is:  You have the choice between two different Awesome Packs:
Awesome Pack Family : geared towards families with kids of all ages to encourage family activities.
Awesome Pack - Big Kid: this is the one we opted for, geared towards big kids at heart.
Before you get your first box, you fill in a questionnaire so you can get a better fit to your family.  Example, I informed the company that the box is for myself and my partner (32 and 33 years old) and a few of our interests.  They also try to find out which games you already own so they don't send you a duplicate.  Pretty cool, right?
Prices are $44.99 for US and $49.99 for Canadian residents.  I'm trying to verify if there's shipping but I can't find anything about shipping on the website.  I believe it is free.

This month, we got another Awesome poster (Alex claimed this one for his man cave lol) and also a cute bookmark.  I claimed that as mine.  It says "It's Awesome Time" on it and looks pretty cool.  Not going to give a pricing for these two items as this is extra but it's a nice touch.

Funny thing is, this morning, I set out on a mission to start watching Firefly (not even joking), so you can only imagine my surprise when I saw this inside my box.  I want to be honest, I was not drawn in by the first episode so I gave up on it BUT now that I have the board game, Alex and I will watch the short series together so we can understand the game better.  Firefly The Game can be bought at 50.00$.  It is geared to players 13 years of age and up and plays 1-4 players, though it is recommended to have at least 3 players.  Not exactly sure how you can play this game alone...sounds lonely lol.  Apparently this can play 2-4 hours.  Needless to say, we'll need to put this on hold until we've seen the series though I'm pretty sure we can grasp the game without watching the series, especially when there's videos like this one existing.  Let me also point out that this alone covers the cost of the box.  This game is also of awesome quality.

Smartrix is worth 11.95$ and Awesome Pack includes : "Outsmart the Matrix" as its description.  It plays 2-7 players and is geared to players 7 and up.  When I opened the box, I am greeted with a set of cards and a rule book, so seems like a simple enough game where you have to match/create patterns.  No videos exist for this one, but one quick glance through the rule book has me convinced I don't really need one.  Looks like fun.  It makes me think of Carcassone, a bit.  I can't see how this would be a long game either but I can see myself play more than one round.

This set of Poker Dice has me intrigued.  It is worth 7.69$ which seems a bit much for five die, but I won't argue.  I've played poker before and I am known to have quite a poker face but it seems like a dice game would rob me of my tactics, no?  So this game is pretty simple: similar to Yahtzee, you have three rolls to get the best poker hand possible.  The one that gets the best one, wins.  Here's a short video.

I am not opening this item.  Alex and I both agreed to keep this as a collectors item.  It's right on time for the release of the new Star Wars movie, so I completely understand why this would be included in our Awesome Pack.  Hard to say how much these are worth since there are a bunch of die hard fans that would put a lot of money on this.  I am having a hard time finding this online...Here's a website describing what I got.  If I base myself on prices at bottom of the page, one pack could be worth about 3.45$ and that's based on bulk price of 24ct for 81.95$

Verdict: Well, Alex says he preferred last month's Awesome Pack, but I like this one just as much.  It did seem like there was more goodies in last month's box but this one has a retail value of 73.09$ which is much greater than the price of our subscription so I am pretty happy with that.  Also, Firefly seems like a pretty good strategy game, regardless of the fact I have not followed the series yet.  Can't go wrong with a Star Wars collector's item either.  The other two items look to be a win for us.  So I am pretty satisfied with this month's box too.  Thank you Awesome Pack :)

Julep December 2015 Unboxing

I just got my December Julep box at the start of this week  (not 100% sure if it's December or November but because I opened it yesterday, I am counting it as December...correct me if I'm wrong?) but have not been feeling too well yesterday so I didn't manage to get this review out until now.  I was super pumped to get my first maven box (if I don't count my welcome box) because I managed to partake in a few promotions that were also available at the same time

For those of you unfamiliar with Julep, it is a monthly nail polish and beauty product subscription at a reasonable price of 24.99$/month.  If you sign up on the 3-month plan (pay for three months all at once), it costs you 19.99$/month. Subscribers get to pick their choice of beauty product and nail polish on the 20th of every month and get billed on the 27th.  They are also free to skip a month if needed.

Here's what my box looked like when I first opened it:
I know this does not show you what I got (that's the point ;) ) and yes, that's a candy cane, which I consumed as soon as I opened the box.  This leads me to believe I am right about it being a December box because candy canes just seem festive.

First item up is their newest matte lip mousse - It's Whipped in Bisou. which retails at 20.00$ (16.00$ for mavens).  This was the item featured this month and honestly, I was not sure I wanted to try it out since I have anxiety issues about sporting too dark of a lip color (I know...strange, right?) BUT! I am glad I gave this a try.  I have to admit I really like this.  It's super soft and the color does not budge.  I wore it today to work, and at first I was anxious because, although a neutral shade, it's a bit darker than my usual lip product and that anxiety got quelled as soon as I started getting compliments on my lipstick.  Yay!  I think I got myself a new favorite!

I can't show the next picture without first explaining.  My box included two nail polishes : Omelia and Virginia (descriptions to follow).  I was also informed that if I chose 3 add-ons, I'd get a free gift...so in comes the other two nail polishes I found in my box...one was a mystery polish add-on at 4.95$ and the other was my free gift though I'm not sure which is which.
Left to right: Omelia, Sawyer, Katie and Virginia

And here's the polish with the swatches...
And a close up on the swatches.  Keep in mind that all nail polishes are 14.00$ each (11.20$ for mavens).

Omelia is described as "sparkling sugarplum stardust." and it is absolutely stunning.  The stardust finish adds lovely texture and honestly, I read of people adding topcoat to this to make it pop more though I can't see why you'd want to cover up the interesting finish on this polish.  LOVE this color!

Sawyer is described as "copper patina molten".  I love browns and I've been eyeing this color for a long time.  I don't know if molten is a different name for duo-chrome these days but this definitely has an orange-green shift to the color.  I might not have noticed if it weren't for the nail polish I have on my nails at the moment that is also described as a molten.  Beautiful color nonetheless!

Katie is described as "orchid iridescent chrome" and it is absolutely gorgeous!  I can only describe it as a metallic magenta color.  I am so looking forward to sporting this on my nails!

Virginia is described as "mahogany iridescent molten" and let me tell you, this one is a surprise.  It looks brown but then, when you look at it in the light, it kind of looks burgundy/purple.  It is super lovely.  It does take 2-3 coats to get desired opacity but it is definitely worth it!

This is how I am sporting the color on my nails at the moment, and yep, that is nail bling you see there! and you can kind of catch the purplish shimmer on my middle finger...

This was one of the add-ons I selected, small spike studs to add to nails, which, by the way, aren't that easy to work with.  I think I had better luck when I was dropping it on clear nail polish.  I got 21 spikes in total.  No links for this add-on but I recall it being 4.95$ as an add-on.

And I also got myself some Julep Clean Slate Polish Remover Pads at 4.95$ as an add-on. However, this is worth 10.00$ (or 8.00$ as a maven).  Included are 10 towelettes with nail polish remover and I have to admit I really like these towelettes.

This month's box cost me almost 35$ and it is valued at : 90.95$  That's pretty impressive in my opinion, especially since I will be using each and everything in the box.  No more wasting money on things I won't use.  Now, I don't have to partake in the add-ons each month but this time around, I have to admit I was a tad curious. Looking forward to picking out my next box in about a week. :)

Fortune Cookie Soaps 12 Days of Christmas Box

Before I get into what this box is, let me first warn you that this will be a different kind of review.  This is not a subscription box; it is a one-time-only box, and I seriously could not resist it.  When Fortune Cookie Soap announced they were doing a 12 days of Christmas Box, I got suckered up and could not resist (I mean, who am I kidding?  I have a hard time resisting ANY specials from this company).

The 12 Days of Christmas box is themed after A Nightmare Before Christmas (if you haven't watched that movie yet, go watch it now!  it's very sweet and different).  I received the box on December 2nd BUT I can't open the things inside the box until specific dates.  Let me show you what it looks like and then I'll explain what you're seeing.

Every single item in the box is individually wrapped with a specific date stickered (yes, that's a word in my dictionary lol) onto it.  So, in other words, it's kinda like an advent calendar, except it's in a box :) I am really looking forward to unwrapping the items in this box but I must be patient until December 14th.  Here's how I plan on doing this review:  instead of doing 12 different blog posts about each thing I unwrap, it will all be on this review.  So I will be updating this blog post every day until Christmas.  See you on December 14th! ;)

DECEMBER 14th :
First look at this, and the feel of it had me guessing right off the bat that this was an OCD Hand Sanitizer, but the question was...what scent is it?
And the answer is : Easter Town which FCS describes as "an ooey gooey treat of pink sugar with a smear of black licorice" I`m a bit surprised Easter Town does not smell like chocolate as that`s the first scent I`d associate with Easter.  But, I actually like this scent.  Off to a great start!

DECEMBER 15th
Funny how this package had me stumped..I did not know what it was until I opened it and was feeling really dumb when I saw it lol
Second Day on Christmas reserves us a Fortune Cookie Soap in the scent Oogie Boogie/  The Description card says : "My bugs! MY BUUUUUUGGS!! COME BAAAAAAACK!!  A mix of smushed winter berries against a backdrop of sweet muted cinnamon."  I really like this scent; kind of smells like Christmas.  And it now resides on my bathroom sink sill.  :)  Love it!

DECEMBER 16th
Since the first two were gifts were signature FCS items and this felt like this was in a round container, I guessed this would be a whipped cream...but in what scent?

Halloween Town!!! and OH MY GOD this smells decadent!  According to product card, the scent is described as : "Buttery cutout cookies with frosting sprinkles, powdered sugar and a thick smear of sticky bubblegum."  Yummy!    Loving this scent very much and glad that out of all of the scent, this one was chosen for whipped cream!

DECEMBER 17th
Tried to feel my fourth gift but honestly, was not sure what was in this bag.  It was the biggest one yet and the texture was different.  A bit grainy...can you guess?
A BATH BOMB!!!  Yay!  I love bath bombs!  I'll so have a bath tonight!  This is in the scent Jack (I think that's obvious lol) which is described as :"with notes of iced lemon and airy menthol, warmed by woodland moss and smashed cranberries"  I can't smell it through the plastic wrap but if the menthol is prominent, it will be great for me tonight as my nose is a bit stuffed up.

DECEMBER 18th
The fifth gift of Christmas is tubular and does not make any noise when shaken...I am kind of stumped...I was thinking bath salts or bath milk?

And...I was wrong.  BUBBLE BATH!  Yay!  I love myself a nice bubble bath!  This is in the scent Sally described as "For our favorite rag doll, we wanted to create a fragrance that captures her spirit.  Fresh breezes, fluttering white cotton and dry crackling leaves, held together by twine."  This smells lovely and I think I'll soak in a bubble bath tonight just so I can smell like Sally :)

DECEMBER 19th
My sixth gift is quite small and round so my guess was a lip balm...and I'm wrong.

This is a salve in the scent Sandy Claws which smells like "Melted chocolate and chai and yumminess.  Mhm." This smells really great.  The chai is very prominent to the point I thought this was gingerbread.  But when I smell again, yes, there's definitely chocolate to this.  I had to look up what salve was on the FCS site because I wasn't sure.  This is to be applied to any dry patches of skin to soothe it and restore it. Perfect!  I have really dry hands lately...keep applying lotion all the time so I hope this will help :)

DECEMBER 20th
On the seventh day of Christmas, I got something liquid...my guess before opening it was a Mist Me.  But, I was wrong.
And I'm glad I'm wrong; I've wanted a Personal Space Air Freshener from Fortune Cookie Soap ever since I have become acquainted with their company.  This is in the scent Lock, Shock and Barrel described as "Frosted woods of pine and pruce warmed with hints of spice."  Well there's no such thing as a hint of spice, because that's what I smelled right off the bat, cinnamon.  But now that's I'm aware of what it's supposed to smell like, I do smell pine and spruce.  Smells great!

DECEMBER 21rst
The 8th day of Christmas reserved me a present with a dropper on the top, I can feel it.  Was trying to think about what products would have a dropper as part of the container and could only think hair oil?  That is, unless they came up with something new altogether...
But, I was right!  This hair oil is in the scent Thanksgiving Town described as "Brown sugar dusted graham crackers, vanilla frosting, creamy caramel, and plump, juicy raisins."  This smells amazing and am extremely thrilled I'll sport this scent in my hair all day.. yummy! And I can never go wrong with hair oil as it repairs and nourishes dry damaged hair.  Not saying my hair is in bad condition because surprisingly it's still doing quite well regardless of all the colors and bleaching I've subjected it to.  But I do like to add hair oil to their daily routine.

DECEMBER 22nd
Well, small round containers obviously have me confused lol I did guess a lip balm last time, so dare I guess this again once more?  Yes, I dare.
And I'm wrong...but I did get half of the equation right...this is a Lip Scrub in the scent/flavor What's This? which is described as caramelized pear drenched in sweet vanilla. I added flavor because you can't help BUT taste it when you scrub it on your lips.  It does a really good job at exfoliating the lips too (not trying to compare but I did get lip scrub in another subscription I have since canceled and this one does a much better job).  So there you have my 9th gift from Fortune Cookie Soap.

DECEMBER 23rd
Shaking my 10th gift up a bit, I could here the liquids sloshing left and right and I thought to myself, the only signature FCS item I have yet to receive was a perfume oil.  And...

Turns out I am right!  This is in the scent Christmas Town described as "a classic Holiday blend of mulled fruits, followed by a crisp Douglas Fir middle-note darkened by warm patchouli, and musk."  So it really smells nice, but I think I would have prefered this earlier in the box because it really smells like Christmas.  I don't know how long I'll be able to wear it!  But I do think it smells great!

DECEMBER 24th
Merry Christmas Eve to all of you!  One more gift after this one.  I shook it but I won't pretend I didn't know what it was because some genius spoiled this gift for me before I opened it...it was posted on a subscription box swap sight I often frequent at the beginning of the month...*sigh*
My 11th gift is Dry Shampoo in the scent Zero which is described as " Ghostly billows of sweet peppermint, with just the faintest whisper of pumpkin".  Regardless of having been spoiled, this is a great gift to get, and this is a HUGE bottle too.  Smells very good too :)  So no complaints here.  See you tomorrow for the very last gift! :)

CHRISTMAS DAY
So the last Christmas gift was pretty evident since they had to ask our size when we ordered the box...
It's a gorgeous Fortune Cookie Soap shirt with Jack on it.  I know what I'm wearing today... especially since I just want to be comfortable today :)  Love it!

Verdict: That wraps up the 12 days of Christmas with Fortune Cookie Soap. I can honestly say I have used each and every one of these items, some are even completely used (bubble bath, bath bomb, whipped cream).  The others should last awhile but they are absolutely appreciated :)  I enjoyed this box very much and will likely be getting one next year if Fortune Cookie Soap repeats this experience.
